About our Program

The HVAC/R Trade Program is in association with the Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center. This program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for students to enter the HVAC/R Trade field. Copiague Public Schools, in our continued effort to support student success, has provided this program free of charge for graduating high school seniors. Upon completion of this program, students will receive the following:

Students will Receive the following:

  • Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center Certificate of Completion
  • 10hr. OSHA Outreach Training For Construction (Card)
  • Certificate from Senator John Brooks Office
  • Habitat for Humanity Suffolk Certificate acknowledging their participation in community outreach

Program Schedule & Topics Below:

  • Start Date: September 6th, 2023 to June 13th, 2024
  • Mon. - Thurs. at Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center 2:45pm to 5:45pm
  • Four field trips on site working at Habitat for Humanity On Saturdays 8:00am to 2:30pm (dates to be announced)

Entrance requirements: Only 11 graders can apply Minimum GPA 2.0 Adherence to attendance policy Signed contract from parent
